Volunteering for Lighthouse for the Blind Event at Busch Wildlife Sanctuary
Details
Though reservations aren't yet open, you're welcome to now let us know if you might be interested.
Volunteers are needed for the Lighthouse for the Blind's Wild for the Holidays event at the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, a joyful celebration to kick off the holiday season for their blind and visually impaired clients of all ages. This is not open to the public.
We'll assist with a variety of tasks that don't require any training, such as setup, guest check-in, serving food, craftmaking, running errands, breakdown and cleanup.
The guests will explore wild Florida through a tactical experience with pelts, tusks and other objects; a scent experience with a variety of seasonal aromas; making take-home bird feeders; special animal presentations and more.
Formed in 1946, the Lighthouse for the Blind is a private nonprofit organization that provides direct education and rehabilitation services to people who are blind or visually impaired in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast.
