Paddle East Fork Lake until just before sunset, then build a fire by the lake
Details
We'll meet at the East Fork State Park Campground Boat Ramp below:
Turn into East Fork State Park entrance, off of Old State Route 32.
Turn left onto the street taking you to the Campground. You'll go through the gated entrance (there may be a small fee to enter). Follow that road until you almost get to the lake, just before Fern Trail, and turn left. this small road takes you to the beach area kayak launch, where we will be. There is a restroom and sufficient parking.
Let's meet at 3:45pm. Be on the water by 4:15pm. We'll paddle for approximately 2 hrs, then return before the sun sets at 6:46pm.
We can do one of two things post-paddle:
1. Build a fire right by the lake and share a snack and drink, or...
2. Drive back up the road to where we entered off of St Rt 32, and visit our camping buddy, Dale Robbins, at "The Chill Out", where he is performing with his band Fri night!
Must have at least a 12-foot long kayak. Must wear winter paddling gear and a PFD.
I suggest waterproof gloves and a warm hat along with a drysuit. Bring a bottle of water and stay hydrated.
Bring a camp chair if you plan to sit by the fire.
