Caraway Creek Grand Loop (4 Miles) At 829 Jerico Road, Asheboro, NC (& NC Zoo)

For our third hike, we'll be meeting at the trailhead above for the Caraway Creek Preserve - we'll be doing the Grand Loop!

Given the distance, we will have two carpooling designated spots where people with space who are interested can take others along who need a ride.

These are:
Alexander Spears YMCA Parking Lot (3216 Horse Pen Creek Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410)
Mary Perry Ragsdale YMCA Parking Lot (900 Bonner Dr, Jamestown, NC 27282)

If you are offering to carpool or need a ride, please meet at one of those two spots no later than 12:30 PM!

The trail itself is a 4 mile loop.

This is a majority natural trail with some elevation - it is well maintained and marked though so we should have no issues in following the path!

The parking lot beside the trailhead has 15-20 spots - we should hopefully enough spots for everyone given the carpooling plans!

We will plan to meet at 1:00 PM - we will leave around 1:15-1:20 PM and plan to conclude around 2:45-2:50 PM.

Bringing closed toed shoes and something to hydrate with is advisable.

The plan after is to stop by at the Asheboro Zoo (4401 Zoo Pkwy, Asheboro, NC 27205).

We expect to be there between 3:15 to 4:30-4:45 PM.

This is about 20 minutes away from the trail and is totally optional to attend - folks who need to leave earlier can head out after the hike has concluded.
