For our fifth hike, we'll be meeting to do the Bill Faver Lakeshore Deep River Loop surrounding the High Point Lake in the Piedmont Environmental Center!
The trail is a 5.6 mile looped path.
This is roughly a half paved & half natural trail - it is certainly one of the more challenging trails with the elevation/distance we will come across so please prepare accordingly!
On the positive side, plenty of shade is thankfully available throughout!
There should be thankfully plenty of parking spots available at the center entrance.
We will plan to meet at 1:15 PM - we will leave around 1:30 PM and plan to conclude around 3:45-4:00 PM.
Bringing closed toed shoes and something to hydrate throughout with is strongly recommended!
Given the temperatures, I will be carrying some spare water bottles/snacks but space is limited so please make sure to prepare accordingly!
