Fresh air, fall sunshine, new friends, and a little something sweet!

With a beautiful fall Sunday ahead, we're getting outside to explore one of Raleigh's lovely lakeside escapes!

Join Triangle Third Place for a relaxed nature walk through Lake Wheeler Park, where we'll wander wooded trails, enjoy the peaceful scenery, and soak up that perfect sweater weather. 🍁

No hiking experience needed! This isn't a race or a strenuous trek. We'll keep a comfortable, conversational pace with plenty of opportunities to chat, enjoy the scenery, and get to know each other along the way.

And because every good fall adventure deserves a sweet ending... 🍦
After our walk, anyone who wants to keep hanging out is welcome to join us for an optional ice cream stop at Howling Cow Creamery, one of NC State's delicious local gems!

📍 Lake Wheeler Park — 6404 Lake Wheeler Road, Raleigh
🥾 Difficulty: Easygoing nature walk with some uneven, natural-surface trails
🌤️ Weather: Forecast around 62°F and sunny!
💚 Cost: Free to attend; optional ice cream purchases are on your own
🚗 Parking & Meetup: Park in the main visitor parking area above the Waterfront Center. We'll gather near the Waterfront Center before setting off. Look for a message from your host in the event chat if you need help finding us.

Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring water, and dress in layers for the fall temperatures. Leashed dogs are welcome at the park, too (but not allowed at ice cream)!
