Summary: In this session, Kerry will outline the basics of getting Kubernetes running on top of AWS. Kubernetes is a simple way to deploy containers in a straightforward and scalable way. Kubernetes provides an abstraction over the raw resources that make up a cluster (compute instances, load balancers, etc). Essentially, Kubernetes provides all the faculties needed to support your service-oriented architecture.
Bio: Kerry is a Senior Cloud Architect at Relus Cloud in the DevOps practice. With his extensive application development background he primarily focuses on getting customer’s custom applications up and running in the cloud. In his spare time, he enjoys playing with his kids, working on open source software, and working on his Masters degree. Kerry also frequents many of the user groups around Nashville, both as a presenter and a participant.
