Topical WakeLP Meetup: Social Security

How should the USA address the Social Security trust fund shortfall that is currently set to trigger a 23% across-the-board cut in benefits in 2033? Some folks contend that Social Security is a Ponzi scheme and we’d be better off abolishing it or just letting it implode. Others favor raising taxes to cover any funding shortfalls. And there are a lot of opinions inbetween.

Join us for an evening of stimulating discussion of current political events from a libertarian perspective, focused tonite on this particular issue. The discussion will be lead by Matthew Laszacs, who is the Libertarian candidate for US House District 2, here in Wake County.
