About us
Thanks for stopping by Triangle Money & Meaning, a space for people who want to learn how money can be used for good—in and around their life.
Throughout history, money has been a vessel for positive change. But we don’t typically view money as a good thing. Usually, it’s seen as “the root of all evil.” Some of this comes from feeling stretched to pay bills, corporate greed, or politically unjust motivations. But money can be used for good!
4,000 years ago, religious practices used money as a medium for good through charity and avoiding unethical investment. Fast forward to the 18th century, money was leveraged to boycott slavery. In the 1960s, money was a voice of protest during the Vietnam War, and it was used again in the 1980s to help end the apartheid regime in South Africa. Growing in the late 2000s, universities, pension funds, and countries began to decrease investment in fossil fuels to fight climate change.
Today, that same principle still applies—just more out of sight and closer to you. It shows up in where you bank, what your retirement account is invested in, and which companies are supported by your dollars every day.
Through workshops and group conversations over coffee, beer, or tea, we’ll talk about investing for retirement while avoiding certain companies, banking with your values, and so much more.
The mission is clear: help people give meaning to their money—in and around their life.
Come chat with us and let’s start using money for good!
