FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2026

The 2026 season is upon us and I, as usual, am behind schedule. Fortunately, there's still a very small window of time available to sort this out. The first race is scheduled for an 11pm start our time. That means either we stay up too late or we have to make do with a re-watch in the morning.

To be perfectly honest, the fact that Alonso has little (if any) chance at starting the race much less finishing in a decent position drops my interest in staying up late to practically zero. So, I'm hosting a tape delayed rewatch at 10 am on Sunday!

As usual, a fundamental rules change has spread the field and shaken up the possible finishing order. Though (also as usual) the top four probably hasn't been affected that much. Will reliability be a factor? Will one of the mid-field drivers figure out a secret that propels them to the front? Will Aston Martin start the race at all?

No. No. and No.

But we'll still tune in to watch!
