Will Tuttle speaks about "The World Peace Diet" in the Triangle this week!!!
Dear members of the Vegetarian & Vegan Meetup of Chapel Hill, Durham & Raleigh,

I am writing today to announce that Dr. Will Tuttle, author of *The World Peace Diet: Eating for Spiritual Health and Social Harmony*  will be in the Triangle this week, and speaking at two events hosted by the Triangle Vegetarian Society.

Here's the short of it:

The first event will be a set-menu vegan dinner this Thursday evening (4/1) at 6:30 p.m. at Sitar India Palace in Durham, followed by a talk by Will titled "The Vegan Way: Exploring the Liberating Power of Non-violence." In addition to discussing the connection between our diets and peace, Will also plans to discuss the often overlooked relationship between animal agriculture and the health of the environment.

The Saturday evening event is a vegan potluck dinner followed by Will's presentation about "The World Peace Diet." The Unity Spiritual Living Center in Durham is co-sponsoring and hosting this event ( I visited there last week for the first time and had a very positive experience. In addition to being a very welcoming and progressive community, many members expressed an interest in vegetarianism and enthusiasm for Will's visit to their meeting place.

Links to more information are found in the brief "standard blurb" that follows.

For all of the details, this is the one link you really need to check out: .

All are warmly invited to join us for these two wonderful events this week. Please do consider joining us!

P.S. These events have been Facebooked! Please check us out here:[masked] .
Here's the standard blurb:
Please join us in Durham on Saturday, May 3 at 7 p.m. for a vegan potluck dinner and a presentation by author Dr. Will Tuttle about issues related to his book The World Peace Diet: Eating for Spiritual Health and Social Harmony.

Whole Foods CEO John Mackey has said "I am grateful for this powerful and cogent book. It has stretched my thinking -- and heart -- about animals, compassion, and our society."

A review in Satya magazine described The World Peace Diet as "profoundly insightful and important" and "sure to be a catalyst and powerful tool in the evolution of human consciousness."

To learn more about Will and the book, please see .

The event will take place at Unity Spiritual Living Center in Durham, at 2604 Carver Street, just one block off Guess Road.

For the most up-to-date and complete information about this event, including potluck guidelines, please visit .

All are welcome! Hope you can make it!

(Please also know that we have a similar -- but substantially different -- event with Will on Thursday, May 1st at Sitar India Palace restaurant in Durham. Full details can be found here: .)
