Why This Gets Under My Skin - A Live Trigger Workshop
Tuesday, November 10, 2026 | 6:30–7:30 p.m. Mountain Time (MST)
Online via Zoom | Free
Do you go quiet when you feel criticized? Over-explain when someone misunderstands you? Say yes to keep the peace, then feel resentful afterward?
A charged moment can reveal something important - a boundary, an unmet need, an old fear, or a part of yourself you’ve learned to hold back.
In this revamped one-hour workshop, Jungian relationship coach Aaron King will use visual storytelling, a prepared example, and guided questions to help you explore one manageable trigger from your own life.
Relationships can act as mirrors, bringing less familiar parts of ourselves into view. We’ll explore what your reaction may be showing you and how to create more room to choose your response.
You’ll practice three things:
- Notice: Separate what happened from the feelings and interpretations that followed.
- Explore: Get curious about what your reaction may be protecting or asking for.
- Choose: Identify one response that supports your boundaries, self-respect, and the connection you want.
A new format - participate in the way that works for you
We’re opening attendance beyond our previous small-group format. The presentation and private reflection exercises give everyone a way to work with the material.
You’re welcome to keep your camera off and your answers private. You don’t need to speak or share your story.
After the presentation, we’ll make room for questions and brief guided walkthroughs with up to two volunteers, as time allows. Volunteering is optional, and individual coaching isn’t guaranteed.
Please bring
Something to write with and one recent situation that got under your skin. Choose something meaningful but manageable that you feel comfortable reflecting on.
Presentation downloads and replay
After the workshop, we’ll send everyone who RSVPs a Meetup follow-up with the presentation PDF, reflection worksheet, and teaching replay.
We record only the teaching portion. Recording and automated note-taking stop before personal discussion or volunteer walkthroughs. Please respect others’ privacy and don’t record or share their contributions.
