Caesar Weed Pulling Party and Luncheon in the Woods at Starvation Slough

Join us for an hour of pulling invasive Caesar Weed followed by a fancy luncheon in the woods. We will meet at the Cracker Trail Food Market 18084 US 98, Okeechobee (approximately 15 miles north of the intersection of SR 70 and US 98 in Okeechobee) at 9:30 and caravan to Starvation Slough and Tie-Back Levee Road where we will board our Kubota and ride to a gorgeous towering oak and palmetto hammock to pull weeds for an hour. If you feel that this may be too strenuous, we welcome “supervisors,” just bring a folding chair and water. This is designed to be a fun and relaxing day, but we can only transport “trail workers” to this property, according to our agreement with South Florida Water Management District.
