3 - 9 Mile Day Hikes with Optional Overnight Primitive Tent Camping

Fourth Annual 3 Mile Day Hike with Optional Overnight Primitive Tent Camping- If you enjoy camping and hiking, beautiful Hickory Hammock is the place to do it. The campground has spacious spots under the live oaks. It will easily accommodate RV's or tents. There are no electrical hookups, but they do have two composting toilets, a cold water shower and a place to wash your dishes.
Friday night we'll enjoy a fire and good company. Saturday each can hike a distance of their choice - a stroll around the campground, a 4 mile hike to the primitive campground and back, a 9 mile hike to Istokpoga canal and back or anything in between. After hiking we'll play some games, enjoy a potluck dinner (bring a dish to share) and enjoy a campfire where we will share stories and get to know each other.
Come for two nights, one night, or arrive Saturday by 8:30 AM for just a day hike.
Bring water or a filter (non potable water is available) and whatever gear and food you require. Wear appropriate hiking shoes.
