Are you in your 20s/30s and wondering how to make friends as an adult? Did you just move to Richmond, VA (RVA) and need new friends or things to do? Have you lived in RVA for a while but still would like to diversify your circle of friends? Are you single, engaged, married, or divorced and looking to meet other like-minded friends? Do you like food, beer, wine, cooking classes, games, outdoor activities, music, or anything fun and would rather go with friends?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, this group is for you! Trying to Adult RVA is a membership-based social group. It is open to anyone 21+, of any gender, that want to make friends.

Sangria Sunday with Live Holiday Music

We’ll be enjoying a special house-made sangria made by Blue Bee Cider while soaking in live holiday tunes played on the sax by the incredibly talented Aaron Halloway. Expect smooth sounds, festive vibes, and an easygoing atmosphere that’s perfect for meeting new friends.

A Wonderful Night at The Byrd Theather
Byrd Theater, Cary Street, Richmond, VA, USJoin Trying to Adult RVA for a magical evening at the beloved Byrd Theatre, Richmond’s classic movie palace and a true local treasure. Just days before Christmas, we’ll settle into the velvet seats and enjoy It’s a Wonderful Life on the big screen—holiday nostalgia at its finest.
The Byrd’s historic charm, glowing marquee, and old-school ambiance make this more than just a movie… it’s a seasonal tradition. Come soak in the festive spirit, enjoy a cozy night out, and share the warmth of this timeless story with new friends in one of RVA’s most iconic spaces.
Movie tickets are $9 and can be purchased online or the night of.
