Are you in your 20s/30s and wondering how to make friends as an adult? Did you just move to Richmond, VA (RVA) and need new friends or things to do? Have you lived in RVA for a while but still would like to diversify your circle of friends? Are you single, engaged, married, or divorced and looking to meet other like-minded friends? Do you like food, beer, wine, cooking classes, games, outdoor activities, music, or anything fun and would rather go with friends?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, this group is for you! Trying to Adult RVA is a membership-based social group. It is open to anyone 21+, of any gender, that want to make friends.

We welcome you to join us for our monthly book club get-togethers. We will select one book each month and we ask that you read the book so we can discuss it. Be prepared for spoilers!
Our book this month is “Babel” by R. F. Kuang. This book may be found as physical, digital, or audio copies at local libraries and on Kindle Unlimited. You don't have to bring a copy of the book to our meeting.

Join us for a laid-back afternoon with big views, chill vibes, and even better company at Legend Brewing, one of RVA’s most iconic spots!
We’re taking over the patio for a Sunday Funday filled with good food, cold drinks, and easygoing conversation. Whether you’re new to Trying to Adult RVA or a regular, this is the perfect event to catch up with friends and make a few new ones.
And no worries if the weather doesn’t cooperate—we’ll head inside and keep the good times rolling!
Come solo or bring a friend—either way, you’ll leave with good memories (and maybe a few new group chat additions 😄).

- Game Night at UnpluggedUnplugged Games Cafe, Midlothian, VA
Game night! Unplugged Games Cafe is a fun spot in Richmond to eat & play. We have space reserved for our group for the evening.
They have a huge (930 to be exact) game library to choose from including board games, card games, dexterity games, and trivia. They will work to provide guests with opportunities to play role playing games as well. Their board game selection features nostalgic childhood & family favorites, "new classics," and brand new releases from today's top publishers.

Don't fear if you don't regularly play games. The Unplugged staff members are ready to help with set up, clean up, and everything in between. Just ask if you need help choosing a game, learning the rules, or have any other questions about how to play.
They have food available for purchase which you can purchase on your own. You will also be responsible for the cost of a daily play pass when you arrive ($8)
