Our movie this month is “Sinners” directed by Ryan Coogler.
🗓 Date: December 6th
🕕 Time: 11:30 AM
📍 Location: Bar West
“Sinners” is a 2025 film directed by Ryan Coogler about twin brothers, WWI veterans Elijah "Smoke" and Elias "Stack" (Michael B. Jordan), who return to 1932 Mississippi to open a juke joint but find their community threatened by a supernatural, vampiric evil. The film blends historical themes of oppression with supernatural horror, focusing on community, culture, and the struggle against both human and monstrous threats
We’ll gather to talk about the film’s themes, visuals, and big ideas, and choose next month’s movie at the end of our meeting—so come prepared with your own film suggestions!
🎬 “Sinners is available to stream or rent on major platforms. You don’t need to bring anything but your thoughts, questions, and excitement.
