ABOUT THIS EVENT

How might we heal ourselves, each other and our society from the exponential levels of disconnection, stress, and anxiety that humankind is experiencing now? How might we design for a healthier future of reconnection, well-being, joy and thriving? How might we create personalized immersive experiences to improve our health?

This product and user experience design talk focuses on product design insights from a series of successful music and dance video games (the original Guitar Hero, Rock Band and Dance Central video game franchises) and a digital health meditation app (Muse) and a video game for health treatment (Coherence VR) that each sought to change the way people feel across the human well-being spectrum.

The UX design best practices will guide you as you develop the next generation of transformative experiences leveraging today’s new technologies. You will learn how to enable accessible, intuitive and joyful experiences, tapping directly into one’s greater sense of well-being, and motivating them to play and practice again and again.

You will also have the opportunity to get live feedback on your product design challenges. Bring your innovation and experiential design questions for the products you are designing and enjoy learning from a leader in TransTech experiential design.

As co-creator of the ROCK BAND and DANCE CENTRAL video game franchises, a producer on the GUITAR HERO franchise, and former general manager of Harmonix, Tracy and her teams transformed people’s relationships with music and with each other, redefined the party game genre, and brought joy to millions around the world. As former CPO of Interaxon, the makers of Muse, the world’s first portable EEG device to measure your brain activity while you meditate, Tracy and her team transformed the Muse Meditation app, from an MVP into an authentic UX experience for consumers and mental health professionals. Committed to reducing human suffering and enabling joy and healing across multiple platforms, Tracy advises and consults for multiple companies serving the human well-being spectrum, including Akili Interactive, and Neuroscape at UCSF, which pioneer the development of digital treatments for cognitive disorders with video game technologies, and Ripple Effects, which delivers interactive experiences that teach social emotional skill training and promote personal resilience and social equity for school-age children.
