If there is no God or gods, what is the purpose of mankind?
I don't think we've discussed this particular topic in the past. Given that there is no "divine purpose" for mankind, as many of us were taught, is there a "non-divine" purpose?

Some of us were introduced to the "Baltimore Catechism" when we were too young to know better. It was clear in very tortured logic that God had special reason for creating mankind.

There are many paths to purpose whether you are an Existentialist or Humanist. Is our purpose to advance humanity?

This is certain to be a worthwhile discussion for the Atheists, and philosophers that choose to attend.
