In this two-part course with Roshi Linda Myoki Lehrhaupt, participants will learn basic practices of mindful meditation, including simple exercises from Tai Chi and Qiong, as well as join guided meditations on various themes, including open awareness and compassion.
This event is suitable for beginning meditators and more experienced students
This course is part of a three-month series, with other offerings in February and March, 2026.
Fee: $25 for the two part class series. Scholarships are available for those with a financial need.

About Roshi Linda Myoki Lehrhaupt
Linda began her meditation practice in 1979 and is a senior Zen teacher in the White Plum Lineage of Maezumi Roshi, founder of the Zen Center of Los Angeles. She is also the founder and executive director of the Institute for Mindfulness-Based Approaches, a leading teacher-training institute for MBSR and other mindfulness-based programs.
For over 40 years, she has practiced and taught Tai Chi and Qigong. She earned her PhD in Performance Studies from New York University in 1990, specializing in religious ritual and traditions. Linda is the author of several books, including Tai Chi as a Path of Wisdom (Shambhala, 2001) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (New World Library, 2010).
Linda’s teaching is shaped by warmth, humor, and deep appreciation for everyday life. Her students appreciate her gift for turning complex teachings into clear, engaging, and practical guidance.
