Since I have a couple hiking trips coming up, I am organizing a series of hikes for my training and would like to have your company.
The first of the series, I want to do the Blackett's Ridge Trail before getting too hot. It is 6 miles round trip with 1650 feet elevation gain (which means hike up 1650 feet in 3 miles).

- Thimble Peak Training HikeLe Buzz, Tucson, AZ
After the warm up hike with Blackett Ridge, the second hike in my training series, I want to try on the Thimble Peak on May 5th Sunday. It is 11 miles round trip in and out, with a lot of ups and downs, and cumulative elevation change of 2400 feet. It is absolutely not an easy hike, but I need that training. I will just do it slowly. I plan on finishing it in 8 to 9 hours.

We will start our hike from the campground.
Bring a lot of water, snacks and lunch.
