REPOST: Sabino Canyon Dam Walk

"You’re officially invited to the legendary trek to the Sabino Canyon Dam!

Expect gorgeous views, refreshing water, and a group of people all pretending the uphill walk is "not that bad."

• ​The Hike: Beginner-friendly! It’s a little under 1 mile each way on paved/maintained terrain.
• ​Dress Code: Comfortable shoes and just enough sarcastic commentary to make the trip memorable. (Bonus points if you limit "Are we there yet?" to once every 10 minutes).
• ​Parking: $8 per car at the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area (Free if you have an America the Beautiful pass).
• ​Carpooling: Open to carpooling from a central spot if anyone wants to ride together—feel free to drop a comment in the event discussion!
• ​Gear: Bring a small flashlight or headlamp if you have one. Phone flashlights work in a pinch, but it will get dark on the walk back depending on how long we hang out at the dam.
