Perched above the Edale Valley in a majestic stone house, tucked into ancient woodland on the slopes of Kinder Scout Plateau, this is your lofty basecamp for a weekend of wild adventure.
Venture into the ‘Dark’ Peak – where moorlands roll endlessly, weather turns bold, and every viewpoint wows. Trek the epic Great Ridge, explore Ladybower’s wartime secrets, and marvel at the tors of Derwent and Stanage’s gritstone edges.
Then descend into hidden valleys, where shadowy forests fold into secret trails just waiting to be discovered.
From rugged heights to leafy woods, every day brings big scenery, big adventure, and big smiles – all from one of the Peak District’s most atmospheric corners.

All trails require good to strong fitness, capable of climbing/descending potentially steep hills & walking at a fast pace.

📅 TRIP STRUCTURE

No CARS will be required to get to the hikes but we will use TRAINS on two days, please be advised that this extra expense is not included in the trip cost.
- Day 1 – Arrive early evening / Drinks in hostel bar or drive to local pub
- Day 2 – Train / Hike (Circular) / Train / Pub Dinner
- Day 3 – Hike (Linear) / Train / Pub Dinner
- Day 4 – Hike (Circular)
Monday hike will be complete by 15:00. Full trip details to be shared closer to the date.
