Hundred Acres Hollows - Brevard’s Newest Protected Land
Details
Join us as and learn about Hundred Acres Hollows, the latest addition to Brevard County’s Environmentally Endangered Lands (EELs) program.
The Public is invited. Doors will open at 6:30 pm, allowing ample time for mingling before the meeting commences.
This recovering preserve in Central Florida was protected through the dedicated efforts of people committed to safeguarding wildlife, restoring vital habitats, and connecting the public with nature. Their vision created meaningful educational experiences that highlight our unique Florida ecosystems — and now it’s open for all to appreciate and learn from.
Hundred Acres Hollows is currently home to over 300 Gopher Tortoises, a keystone species whose protection is critical for maintaining healthy ecosystems and preserving biodiversity.
By protecting these remarkable animals and their habitat, we ensure that future generations can continue to enjoy the beauty and benefits of Florida’s natural heritage.
Whether you’re a nature lover, wildlife enthusiast, or simply want to learn how your community is preserving our precious lands, this is an evening you won’t want to miss!
Everyone is welcome—whether you're a member, a nature lover, or just curious about local conservation work.
We meet at the Unitarian Universalist Friendship Fellowship, located at 3115 Friendship Pl · Rockledge, FL.
Our presentation begins at 7pm on Thursday, April 23rd!
