What we’re about

Welcome to the Treasure Valley chapter of The Nonfiction Authors Association, a national organization featuring a vibrant and supportive community for trailblazing writers. Our members include experienced and aspiring authors of business, self-development, health, reference, memoir and other nonfiction books.

Our NFAA local chapters focus on the business side of writing, publishing and promoting nonfiction books. Meeting agendas include a guest speaker focused on a topic related to the publishing industry, introductions by all attendees, and a signature mastermind session where three to five attendees are selected to share a publishing-related challenge or question and receive feedback from the group (a wildly popular feature of our meetings!).

First-time visitors to an NFAA local chapter are not required to be members of the Nonfiction Authors Association, however, if you’d like to return to a second meeting and beyond, we do require that you join us online with either a Basic membership (free) or Authority membership ($19/month). Authority members receive many added benefits including:

·  Access to recordings from our twice-monthly teleseminars with industry professionals

·  Weekly marketing tips sent via email.

·  Special discounts with our sponsor partners, including a substantial discount off access to Profnet, a PRNewsWire service that connects authors with media interviews.

·  Special discounts off our annual Nonfiction Writers Conference and year-round Nonfiction Book Awards.

·  Local chapter benefits include priority in our popular Author Mastermind portion of the meetings, a members-only magnetic name badge to wear to meetings (after three months of Authority membership), and periodic event discounts during the year.

No matter where you are on your publishing journey, whether you’re just getting started or you’ve already authored dozens of books, whether you’re self-published or traditionally published, we welcome you and hope you will join us for our lively and informative meetings!

NOTE: If you represent an organization or group that is in need of a speaker, please browse our member directory or contact our group leader for a personal recommendation.
