Can AI be conscious?

We are hosting a series of discussions focused on the philosophy of AI. Our motivating questions are whether today's LLMs have knowledge, whether they are conscious, whether they have agency, and finally whether they can be moral.

We continue with the question of consciousness for which we will read and discuss one papers.
