UPD. The hike is postponed due to low response rate from the members to the organizer's requests on planning and preparation for the event. All non-responsive sign-ups are marked as fakes and flakes. For the postponed hike invitations will be given to hikers from other hiking groups.

Let's hike and explore the talus caves and Pinnacles rock formations, with chances to see California condors in this beautiful national park.

For the Bay Area residents it should be more convenient to reach this park on a work day as parking is usually easier (comparing to weekends when parking lots are reportedly getting packed by 10am), while traffic traffic is moderate on this direction.

This is a mostly open space/no shade park, so the weather condition is important. Please check on the weather updates and possible changes to the event in the comments.

The trails on the plan:
1.9mi moderate, out and back with 521 ft elevation gain,
1.2 mi moderate, out and back, 311 ft elevation gain, also takes some hiking from the parking lot to the trailhead.

Clothes and gear recommended:

  • stardy hiking shoes,
  • hiking poles if you used to them,
  • consider hydration bladder for hikes,
  • sunglasses,
  • sunscreen,
  • hat.

If you do not have a National Parks Pass, there will be $30 per vehicle entrance fee charged at the entrance.

Carpooling can be offered/requested in the comments to this event.

Feel free to sign up and/or comment with any questions!
