Snoopy Island - Snorkelling Trip

----------------Intro----------------
How about cooling off a bit on the east coast of the UAE! A trip to Fujairah's famous diving and snorkeling spot - Snoopy Island is just what this boiling summer needs.

----------------About the place----------------

Snoopy Island is located in Fujairah, heading north towards Dibba. It is a small rocky island about 200 meters from the Sandy Beach resort. Around it, there are reefs with coral and an abundance of marine life.
Although it is hot this time of the year, so we won't probably see sharks or turtles, there will be colorful fish, maybe a puffer or a cuddle fish.

---------------- Itinerary ----------------

Because of the heat, it is necessary to begin early. The itinerary can be negotiated

• 05.00 a.m. -- departure from Dubai heading to Fujairah
• 06.30 a.m. -- arrival at the public beach adjacent to the Sandy beach resort
• 06.45 a.m. -- start of dive, we jump in the water and swim out to snoopy island (about 15 minutes / 200-300 meters).
• 07.00 a.m. -- explore around the island, once we're near the island, it's a chance to roam around the beach, we have two options for Base Camp (more below)
• 9.00 a.m. -- break, everyone is welcome to take breaks as they please, but after about 2 hours, we swim/paddle back to the beach for some rest
• 9.30 a.m. -- beach chill / 2nd dive, depending on your preference, you can either chill at the beach or
• 11.00 a.m. -- return drive back to DXB
• 13:00 p.m. -- arrival back in Dubai

---------------- Adventurer's Profile ----------------

If you are physically fit to swim 200-300 meters in water with a snorkel and mask. If you know how to swim (this is an absolute must). If you are keen to spend some time at the beach or in the sea chilling and enjoying the good life

---------------- Equipment (kit list)----------------

Here is the equipment that you absolutely need:

1. Swimsuit
2. Sunscreen
3. Mask and snorkel
4. Fins
5. Towel

Here is a list of optional equipment that you may use:

1. wetsuit / rashguard
2. Swim cap
3. Weighted belt
4. Dive watch
5. Beach towel to lie down on

Here is the equipment that I will provide for the meetup attendees:

1. Rain fly to create shade on the beach
2. Large paddleboard to put cooler, phones, and to use as base
3. A cooler with some cold water

---------------- Sandy Beach option ----------------

For those that don't want to rough it up on the beach, want easier access, and like to have a beer while chillin'. There is an option to pay for beach access in the Sandy Beach Resort (https://sandybeach.ae/). The price is 105dhs / person for the entire day.

The resort offers:

• an infinity pool
• a splash area for kids
• a bar that serves alcohol
• a short swim to the reefs from their beach (150 - 200 meters)

If you choose this option, there's no problem to meet us by the island. You're still very welcome to use the paddleboard as a dive boat. But I won't be able to pick you or your things up at the resort's beach.

---------------- Transfer Dubai to RAK and notes ----------------

I will be taking my truck from Dubai, departing at 5 am with a planned return after lunch. I can comfortably take 3 people with me.

I'm happy to pick you up and drop you off anywhere in Dubai in the morning and I will only ask for a share of the petrol (dh70 both ways).

I'm taking my GoPro. I will make videos and photos which I'm happy to share with you after.

I am a professional, internationally licensed snowsports and action sports instructor and coach. I am an experienced adventurer (rock climbing, via ferrata, canyoneering, swimming, and diving) but I am not, nor do I claim to be, a diving instructor!

I am very familiar with this place. I am happy to guide the group in the safest way I can but purely as a member, not as a guide. Each attendee is responsible for their own safety.
