Event Description:
Join Uber and Ververica (the original creators of Apache Flink) for an exciting in-person meetup hosted at Uber Sunnyvale! Watch informative presentations from expert speakers, network with peers, and connect with the Apache Flink community.

Up first, learn how the Uber Flink Platform team currently provides Flink as a Service for Uber developers and data scientists to boost Uber business, and dive into the future use cases being built for Flink within Uber. Next, Ververica will present the new Streamhouse technology, which was introduced as a result of recognizing the gap between Lakehouse and real-time streaming data processing. In this session, you’ll learn how Streamhouse was implemented by reshaping Apache Flink and introducing tools like Flink CDC and Apache Paimon. Last, Sharon from decodable will present a reconciliation protocol, including various reconciliation methods tailored to the unique demands of Flink for Flink jobs keeps running without failure.

Of course, no Meetup would complete without plenty of time to network, ask questions, share expertise, win swag, and connect with peers. Register today to secure your spot. Bring a friend and you’ll both get double ticket entries for the cool lego set drawing giveaway!

About Apache Flink®:
Open source Apache Flink® is a framework and distribution processing engine for stateful computations over unbounded and bounded data streams. Flink has been designed to run in all common cluster environments, perform computations at in-memory speed and at any scale.

Apache Flink is an excellent choice to develop and run many different types of applications due to its extensive feature set, including support for stream and batch processing, sophisticated state management, event-time processing semantics, and exactly-once consistency guarantees for state. Flink has been proven to scale to thousands of cores and terabytes of application state, delivers high throughput and low latency, and powers some of the world’s most demanding stream processing applications, including companies like: Uber, CapitalOne, Comcast, ING Bank, and Alibaba.
