Smart Glasses - Where Do We Draw the Line?
Details
At this meeting we'll be hearing about Smart Glasses from Guy Holder and Liz Hunter, inspirational Co-Founders of Stop Smart Glasses.
This will involve two talks, each with Q&A, followed by networking.
Guy will focus on children, schools, PSHE and consent, including what young people are actually being taught about consent and how smart glasses sit against that.
Liz will pick up what happens beyond the act of capture: AI processing, personal data, responsible product design and the obligations of the companies putting this technology into public life.
Both talks combine to give a well-rounded view of smart glasses and their societal effects.

Guy Holder -
Guy Holder has worked in education for over twenty years, across state, private and international schools. He is a Business and Economics specialist and Head of PSHE at a school in London.
Worried by what he was seeing happen to children because of smartphones, Guy started campaigning in 2022 to delay the age. In November 2025 he co-founded Set@16, which argues that 16 should be the minimum age for smartphones, social media and AI. He subsequently appeared on panels at the Children's Media Summit at BAFTA and The Children's Mental Health in a Digital World conference at Guy's Hospital. Guy has also contributed to phone ins on LBC and Radio 4.
More recently, Guy co-founded the 'Stop Smart Glasses' Campaign with Liz Hunter, which has received extensive media coverage in publications such as The Irish Times, BBC, The Times and The Evening Standard. The accompanying petition, calling for a ban, is nearing 10,000 signatures.
