UKBlackTech x Citizens Advice: The Power of Design (Online Event)

Details

Join Citizens Advice and UK Black Tech for a mini design sprint exploring how we can use technology and UX design for good. Citizens Advice is a national charity which exists to give people the knowledge and confidence they need to find their way forward - whoever they are, and whatever their problem. Over three evenings, we’ll be coming together with experts from UK Black Tech and Citizens Advice to explore how best to provide advice to someone online, for example someone who thinks they’ve been scammed or someone who’s struggling with the cost of living crisis. We will be sketching solutions and trying things out.

Who it is for
We’re looking for people who are interested in coming up with ideas and designing digital solutions to problems, especially people who are interested in design, product management and UX. You don't have to have particular coding or design skills, instead we’re looking for problem solvers.

What will I get from this?
You'll have a chance to build your problem solving & design skills through working on a real world problem.

You'll have a chance to meet and work with people in different job roles at Citizens Advice and gain an insight into the kinds of problems they're trying to solve. You’ll gain exposure to techniques like design sprints that are used in technology teams.

Dates and Time:
8th, 9th, 10th March
5.30pm - 8pm
Participants will need to be available for all three evenings (Compulsary)

Logistics:
