Unbound is an RDU-based community for sex-positive, kinky, nonmonogamous, and curious people who want more than a screen, more than a profile, more than another place to lurk.

We're here for real connection: the kind that leads to friendships, play partners, dates, chosen family, and a local community you actually want to show up for.

WHO WE ARE

Unbound brings together people from across the sex-positive spectrum—kink, swinging, tantra, polyamory, open relationships, and everything in between—in a welcoming, inclusive community centered on in-person connection.

We are explicitly LGBTQ+ friendly and affirming. All genders, orientations, relationship structures, body types, and experience levels are not just tolerated here. They're celebrated.

We know that finding your people in this world can be harder than it should be. Dating apps suck. Vanilla social circles don't always get it. And walking into a new event where you don't know anyone can feel genuinely intimidating, even when you're excited to be there. Unbound exists to make that easier.

WHAT WE HOST: MIXERS
Our mixers are cross-community social events designed with one goal: help you actually meet people.

Not hover near the drink table hoping someone talks to you. Not exchange pleasantries and forget each other's names by morning.

Actually meet people...have real conversations, make real connections, leave with new faces in your phone and plans already forming.

We bring together members from kink, swinging, tantra, nonmonogamy, and more in a low-pressure, social setting and actively facilitate introductions and interactions so meeting feels natural rather than nerve-wracking. Everyone who attends should leave having met at least five new people and had some fun along the way.

Making friends is often the first step to everything else — getting invited to private parties, finding play partners, building your local network, discovering your best life in this community. The mixer is where that starts.

WHAT WE HOST: SWINGLER PARTIES

Swinglers are fully sex-positive, themed events produced by Unbound in a private, vetted space. Where kink and play and laughter and connection all happen under the same roof.

Think: spin the bottle to kick the evening off. A swim-up bar scene you and your friends dreamed up, made real. An end-of-night moment that winds down exactly the way you hoped it would.

Our parties are specifically kink-centered and inclusive. We focus on creating a friendly, super sex-positive, welcoming environment for the kinky, sexy, and curious of all genders, relationship statuses, body types, orientations, and experience levels.

These are curated events. Registration is required, capacity is limited, and each event is themed to give you something to dress for and look forward to.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Consent is foundational. Kindness is non-negotiable. Curiosity is always welcome.

We don't believe in a hierarchy of kinks, relationship styles, or experience levels. Whether you've been in the lifestyle for twenty years or you're showing up to your very first sex-positive event with butterflies in your stomach, you belong here.

We take community safety seriously. Our events are screened and capped to protect the culture we've built.

We hold members accountable when needed, and we do it clearly and without drama. The goal is always a space where people feel genuinely safe to be themselves.
