This December, Uncharted Routes is taking you to Kashmir, often called “Paradise on Earth”, at its most magical time of the year.
This is not a packaged tour. It’s a journey with a group of fellow explorers: long train rides full of stories, snowy adventures, and friendships that last well after the trip ends.

🗺️ The Journey
Day 1 – 18th December (Friday)
We leave Hyderabad on the morning Telangana Express. The adventure begins on the tracks with games, conversations and chai.

Day 2 – 19th December (Saturday)
We reach Delhi in the morning. In the evening we board the Vande Bharat to Srinagar via Jammu.

Day 3 – 20th December (Sunday)
We arrive in Srinagar at around 11 AM. Kashmir welcomes us.

Days 3 to 7 – 20th to 24th December
We explore and stay across four of Kashmir’s most breathtaking destinations:

  • Srinagar: Dal Lake, shikara rides, Mughal gardens and old-city charm
  • Gulmarg: snow-covered meadows, the Gondola ride and winter fun
  • Sonmarg: the “Meadow of Gold”, with glaciers and dramatic peaks
  • Pahalgam: peaceful pine valleys and the Lidder River

Day 7 – 24th December (Thursday)
In the evening we travel from Srinagar to Jammu and board our train back home.

Day 8 – 25th December (Friday)
We reach Hyderabad at around 6 PM, just in time for Christmas evening with a heart full of memories.

💰 Estimated Cost: approx. ₹16,000 per person

  • Train tickets (both ways): ₹6,000
  • Accommodation, food and other expenses: approx. ₹10,000

⏳ Registration closes on 31st October 2026
Train tickets and stays have to be booked well in advance for December travel, so seats are limited and registrations close on Saturday, 31st October. After that, we cannot add anyone to the group.

🎒 What to Bring

  • Heavy woollens, thermals, gloves, a cap and waterproof shoes, because December in Kashmir is properly cold and snowy
  • A valid government photo ID, needed for train travel and hotel check-ins
  • Personal medicines
  • A sense of adventure

Who should join?
Anyone who has dreamed of seeing real snow, loves train journeys, or just wants an unforgettable year-end adventure with great company. Solo travellers are especially welcome. You’ll arrive as strangers and come back as friends.
