"Live television is the most terrifying thing in the world... except for everything else." 📺✨
Our Spring Movie Discussion Series continues on Wednesday, April 15th with the 1982 comedy classic: "My Favorite Year."
Inspired by Mel Brooks’ real-life experiences writing for the legendary Sid Caesar, this film is a hilarious and heartfelt look at the "Golden Age" of television.
The story follows Benji, a young writer tasked with the impossible: keeping an aging, hard-drinking movie star (the incomparable Peter O’Toole) sober and ready for his live TV guest appearance. When the star faces a massive case of stage fright right before the cameras roll, will the show actually go on? 🎭
It was an enormous hit when it premiered, and it remains one of the best comedies about the beautiful chaos of the entertainment world.

  • When: Wednesday, April 15th
  • Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Discussion follows the film)
  • Where: Fellowship Hall with Helen
  • Note: Please arrive a few minutes early! To keep the "live show" vibe, we won't be able to seat anyone once the film has started. 🎬

Come for the laughs, stay for the discussion!
