Our Social Justice Book Club meets on the first Sunday of each month at noon, gathering in person and online to explore stories that help us better understand the world and one another.

This month, we’ll be discussing The Emperor of Gladness by Ocean Vuong — a novel set in a struggling Connecticut town, where an unexpected bond forms between a young man on the edge and an elderly widow living with dementia. Together, their lives reveal deep questions about love, memory, resilience, and care on the margins of society.
