3rd Culture Ambassadors: Keeping the Wisdom Alive
Details
Come join us as we explore the traditions, stories, and wisdom that shape who we are.
As 3rd Culture people, many of us carry traditions, values, languages, stories, and ways of seeing the world from more than one culture. But what happens to that knowledge when we live far from where it originated or when we stop actively practicing it? What have we inherited? What is worth carrying forward? And what role do we want to play in keeping it alive?
Share your experiences, listen to others, and reflect on the cultural wisdom you carry with you. We’ll also enjoy some Afghan pastries and teas along the way—a fun little taste of another culture!

We’ll explore these questions together:
1. What cultural knowledge, traditions, values, languages, stories, or practices have you inherited that you would like to keep alive?
2. What parts of your cultural inheritance have already been lost, weakened, or become harder to practice and how does that make you feel?
3. If you saw yourself as a “3rd Culture Ambassador,” what would you personally choose to preserve, practice, adapt, or pass on to others and why?
We hope to see you there!
