Unplugged Commons hosts analog social events that break the spell of the screen. Tech companies design devices to captivate and addict us, and those screens stole our common spaces. We push back.
We curate multiple unique events every week. These gatherings range from board game nights to karaoke, and they all aim at one goal: genuine, face-to-face connection. You do not need to know the rules to join in. Our expert Teachers run games at our events to help you learn the ropes and start playing immediately.

What to Expect at an Event
Welcoming Faces: We actively make sure newcomers find a game and a group quickly.
The Teach: We feature a specific game at our events, and one of our Teachers will teach you exactly how to play it.
Analog Only: We encourage everyone to keep the phones in their pockets and stay present in the moment.
All Unplugged Commons events are ticketed through our website. RSVPing here on Meetup saves your spot on the list. Your ticket is what gets you in. Grab it at unpluggedcommons.com/shop before you come, so we can plan the tables and games around who's actually showing up.

48 Hours of Board Games is back — a full weekend of tabletop gaming at Springhill Retreat Center, October 9–11. Whatever your pace, there's a table for you: pull an all-nighter, claim a whole day, or drop in for a few hours between other plans.
Tickets (early bird pricing through Sept 11):
All Access — $100 (then $150) — every hour, all weekend
Day Plus — $60 (then $80) — a full day, plus Friday (and Werewolf!)
Day Pass — $45 (then $55) — one day, full hype
Quick Quest — $25 (then $30) — a few hours to get a taste. Capped at 10 spots.
On-site Rooms (2 twin beds) available for reservation ($50/bed/night) at very limited capacity.
Commoners (our Patreon members) always get the early bird price, no matter when you buy.

Always been a little curious about tabletop roleplaying but never knew where to start? This night is for you.
We've got four Game Masters running four very different one-shot adventures — and every single one is built for first-timers. You don't need to know the rules, build a character, or bring anyone with you. Your GM teaches everything at the table, and you'll make friends there.
Here's what's on offer:- The classic D&D experience — a cozy, funny adventure with Ashe, perfect if it's the game you've always wanted to try.
- Epic fantasy with real heart — a story of storms and honor with Rain, where your choices matter as much as your rolls.
- An eerie modern mystery — investigate the strange and unexplained with Scott.
- Story-first, no combat — build a dramatic tale together with just a deck of cards and Eric.
