The area may appear peaceful today, but beneath its forests lies a remarkable past. During the GDR era, Strausberg served as a major military headquarters, complete with secret bunker networks and communication centers built to withstand wartime scenarios.

Meeting Location and Time: Meet at Warschauer Straße S-Bahn Station at 9:00 am on Sunday.
Note: Exact platform location in Warschauer Straße S-Bahn Station will be advised in the WhatsApp group for confirmed participants the day before the trip.
Finishing Location and Time: Warschauer Straße S-Bahn Station at 5:30 pm on Sunday.

Begin our relaxed walk around the lake while exploring forests, waterfronts, and local wildlife.

Learn about Strausberg’s military significance during the GDR era and hear stories about the hidden bunker systems built beneath the region.
🍽️ 1:30 PM – Lunch & Coffee Break by the Water
