About us

UNWRAP DC is a free, volunteer-run community bringing curious people together through big ideas, short talks, and real conversations.

We believe fascinating conversations shouldn’t be confined to classrooms, laboratories, conferences, or professional circles. Our gatherings bring together students, researchers, professionals, entrepreneurs, creatives, and anyone who enjoys learning something new.

At our events, speakers share accessible, approximately five-minute talks, followed by audience questions, open discussion, and time to connect. We explore science, technology, economics, public policy, business, the arts, and beyond—all in relaxed local venues around Washington, DC.

Our goal is simple: discover perspectives beyond our own, make ideas accessible, and build connections that continue beyond the evening. Whether you come alone or with friends, you’ll find room to listen, contribute, and meet people from different walks of life.

No specialized knowledge required. Just bring your curiosity!

Different backgrounds. Shared curiosity. Real conversations.
