100 minutes. 5 strangers. Zero small talk.

A Saturday-morning walk-and-talk at Cubbon Park for people over 35 who still have real questions.

### What Makes This Special

Most adult conversations fall into one of three channels: work, family logistics, or performance. This morning has none of them. There is no agenda to network, nobody to impress, and nothing to sell or date.

Five people who have never met walk, sit under old trees, go quiet together, and then talk about the things they rarely say out loud. The group is small on purpose. Five is enough for range and small enough that nobody can hide. Strangers are part of the design too. We often speak most honestly to people who have no stake in our story.

### Perfect for You If You

  • Are 35+ and find that most of your conversations have become transactional or logistical?
  • Miss the kind of late-night conversation you had at 22, but would rather have it at 6:30 am with filter coffee
  • Are in a transition, such as a career shift, an empty nest, a loss, a reinvention, or simply a quiet restlessness
  • Are curious about people’s stories, not their titles
  • Can listen as well as you speak, and are comfortable with a pause
  • Want new friendships built on substance rather than shared schedules
  • Enjoy nature and are happy to walk 3 to 4 km at an easy pace
  • Are tired of events that are really sales funnels in disguise
  • Are willing to leave your visiting card, your LinkedIn and your agenda at home

### Questions and Themes We Will Explore

The questions are prompts, not a syllabus. The group decides where to stay.
Becoming

  • What did you believe at 25 that you have quietly let go of?
  • Which version of yourself are you still trying to prove wrong?

Meaning and enough

  • What does “enough” look like for you now, and when did that change?
  • What are you still chasing out of habit rather than desire?

Relationships

  • Who knows the real you today, and who used to?
  • What conversation have you been postponing for years?

Time and mortality

  • If the next ten years were your last good ones, what would you stop doing on Monday?
  • What do you want to be remembered for by the people who are not obliged to remember you?

Courage

  • What is the bravest thing you have done that nobody applauded?
  • Where in your life are you playing safe and calling it wisdom?

### What to Expect

  • 6:30 / Arrival: Meet at a named gate. Phones go on silent and stay in pockets.

  • 6:35 / The Walk (30 min): Pairs walk and rotate every 10 minutes, with one prompt per pair.

  • 7:05 / Stillness (10 min): Sit under the trees for a guided, secular breath-and-sound meditation. No experience needed.

  • 7:15 / The Circle (40 min): One deep question goes around the circle. Each person gets uninterrupted time to speak, then the floor opens.

  • 7:55 / Breakfast (20 min): A simple, shared breakfast. Lighter talk and laughter.

  • 8:15 / Close: One word from each person, and an open invitation to meet again.

  • Small group: 4 to 5 guests plus 1 host

  • Easy walking pace, roughly 3 to 4 km in total

  • No fixing, advising or debating. Listening comes first.

  • Chatham House spirit: what is shared stays under the trees

  • Dress for comfort, in walking shoes. A light layer is useful.

### Access and Contribution

This is a strictly invite-only event. To join, apply with three short answers. The host reads every application and builds a group with range in age, life stage and background.

The application asks:

  1. What is a question you have been sitting with lately?
  2. What would make this morning worth getting up early for?
  3. Is there anything you would like the host to know?

Contribution: ₹249 per person, non-refundable once the group is confirmed. It covers nothing but ensures your commitment to reduce no-shows, and it is a signal of seriousness.

Confirmation: You will receive the meeting gate and host details 6 hours before the event.

### What Is Included

  • A curated, hosted 100-minute experience
  • A guided meditation under the trees
  • A simple, wholesome breakfast with coffee or tea
  • An invitation to the next circle (alumni get first access)

### What Is Not

  • Not a networking event. No pitches, cards, or “what do you do.”
  • Not a dating event. If that is the intent, this is not the room.
  • Not therapy or coaching. We listen; we do not diagnose or fix.
  • Not a religious or spiritual programme. The meditation is secular.
  • Not a photo-op. No photos of other guests without consent, and no posting during the event.
  • Not open to plus-ones or drop-ins.

### House Meetup Rules

  1. Arrive on time, because five people are waiting for you.
  2. Speak from your own experience and use “I”.
  3. Do not interrupt. Silence is allowed.
  4. What is said here stays here.
  5. Be kind, curious, and unhurried.

About Host:
Shubho Broto Das, A fellow traveller, not a guide.
For 18 years, I have helped complex organisations explain themselves, translating deep tech, heavy engineering, and high-stakes strategy into stories people trust. Along the way, I noticed that the conversations that actually changed me never happened in offices.

Recently, I stepped away from a full-time role to travel, slow down, and rethink what my next chapter should hold. I host these mornings because I am sitting with that question myself, and I would rather explore it with a few honest strangers than answer it alone. I will not be teaching anything; I will mostly be listening.
