Imagine a space where you don’t have to impress anyone.
Where you don’t need to be funny, interesting, or perfect.
Where you can just be yourself – quiet, honest, awkward, curious – and still feel welcome.
This is an afternoon and evening in the park for those who long for more authentic connection in life.
Maybe you're tired of small talk, or just curious what can happen when we truly meet each other – with presence and truth.
We’ll co-create a gentle and open atmosphere, where silence, laughter, depth and play all have room to exist.
🌀 Why are we doing this?
Because so many people feel alone – even when surrounded by others.
Because meaningful connection is something we all long for, but rarely get the chance to experience.
Because contact doesn't have to be hard – it just needs a space where we can drop our roles and meet as humans.
This is a space to:
– Land gently in yourself
– Be seen and heard without pressure
– Explore presence, honesty and play in a safe group
– Experience real moments with others – even strangers
🔆 What will happen during the day?
We’ll begin with a welcoming circle and some clear guidelines for the day.
Then you’ll be guided through simple but powerful connection practices.
Some will be playful, some more reflective. You’ll get to:
– Meet others through silence and eye contact
– Listen deeply – and be listened to without interruption
– Express what’s real for you in the moment
– Practice honest, present conversations without masks
– Try a shared reflection exercise where one person at a time gets full space to speak – with no fixing, advice, or comments.
We mix stillness and depth with lightness and laughter.
Sometimes we’ll be in pairs or small groups, other times in the whole group.
And at the end of the day, we’ll open up into a free-flowing, presence-based hangout in the soft evening light.
Everything is optional. You’re welcome to participate at your own pace.
🕐 When should I come?
You're welcome to come and go, but we suggest these times for a smoother entry:
⏱ 1:00 PM – Opening circle and introduction
⏱ 3:30 PM – Picnic break and relaxed social time
⏱ 5:00 PM – Deeper connection sessions begin (last chance to join)
After 5:00 PM we’ll move into more emotionally grounded practices, so please try to join before then if you want to participate.
🧺 What to bring:
✔ A blanket or something to sit on
✔ Something to eat (preferably vegetarian and shareable)
✔ A water bottle
✔ Yourself – whether you feel curious, nervous, tired or excited
👥 Who’s guiding?
Jesper & Daniel will host the event together.
Jesper is a facilitator of Relational Mindfulness® – where we practice being present with ourselves and others.
Daniel is trained in Transformational Connection – a method of dropping into real contact through honesty and embodied awareness.
We’re passionate about creating spaces where people can be real – and where connection doesn’t depend on performance.
💛 This event is part of the project 7,000 Hugs – Dare to Connect, where we normalize human contact and create more heartfelt gatherings in Uppsala’s public spaces.
