- Who We Are: Join us for our walks! Are you looking to improve your physical and mental well-being? Are you new to Greenville? Want to meet new people, make new friends, or simply looking for an easy, fun, social and healthy activity to get you, your children, your pet, and family members out of the house? Join us for our walks that you can do with the group, or on your own. Our noncompetitive walks are 3.1 miles (5 km) or 6.2 miles (10 km) - It is not a race - but a fun, social activity - We hope to see you soon!
- We are the Upstate Pathfinders Volkssport Club, a not-for-profit club providing 11 interesting walks, available daily, at your pace, in many different locations throughout Greenville, SC area. We provide turn-by-turn instructions with historical notes. Registration starts at 9:30. We are a part of the America's Walking Club (aka American Volkssport Association), a nonprofit organization that sanctions Volkssport events in the U.S. The America's Walking Club offers outdoor organized activities (walk, bike, swim) for everyone, regardless of age or physical condition. Seniors and minors (even in strollers), singles, couples, and families are all welcome. Pets are acceptable. You don’t have to be an athlete to be a Volkssporter!
Event Description: The walk passes by the Carillon, Japanese Garden, and circles Swan Lake before the 5K returns to the start. The 10K continues past the athlete fields, stadiums, library and classrooms, McAllister Auditorium, and then returns back to Swan Lake before finishing at the start point. This is a beautiful campus. Join us for lunch afterwards - info to follow.
Start Point: Start at the Parking Lot, coordinates are 34.930322,-82.437164 at the corner of Dave Garrett Dr. and Carl Kohrt Dr.
Directions: Directions: From Greenville drive north on US 276, Poinsett Hwy., and exit right into Furman University. Enter the traffic circle. Right immediately past the McAlister Auditorium on Carl Kohrt Dr. for 1/3 mile passing Furman Lane and Bell Tower Point Dr. Left on Dale Garrett Dr. Start is toward the rear of the lot.Registration: Register near at the end of the parking area between 9:30 and 10:00. Walk with a group or on your own with turn by turn instructions. Groups start very shortly after 10:00. The walk is free for participants and donations are appreciated to offset insurance costs and Meetup Fees. Cost is $4 for participants who record AVA walk events. Bring your kids or grandkids (both may be better) to enjoy this beautiful Campus.

- Our Anderson walk features both 5k and 10k routes with historic buildings and architecture and many art installations. There are 24 Wrens bronze statues roosting downtown - find them. Anderson University on the 10K is a beautiful Historic District and park like. The walk is sanctioned by America's Walking Club (ava.org)
Start: Across from 134 Earle St. in the parking lot turn right onto Earle St. If on Orr St. continue under the overpass and turn left twice to Earle St.and right into the parking lot.
Registration: Register between 9 and 9:30 in the parking lot across from Earle St. Kitchen. Walk with a group or on your own with turn by turn instructions. Groups start shortly after 9:30. Cost is free for non credit walkers and $4 for walkers recording walks. We appreciate donations to offset insurance and Meetup fees.- We will gather for lunch following at the Magnetic South Brewery, 516 N.Main Street Anderson.Opens at 11 am.

- Event Description: The Upstate Pathfinders will conduct a walk on the Swamp Rabbit Trail starting from Southernside Brewing on June 30. The walk is 6, 10 or 15km The walk goes south Greenville passing Falls Park, and into Cleveland Park. The 15km continues to the terminus of the SRT at Pleasantburg and Cleveland before returning to the finish. Please support our host by returning for lunch after completing the route. - Start Point: Southernside Brewing in Greenville across the Reedy River from Unity Park at 25 Delano Drive, Unit D, Greenville, SC.
- Registration: Register in the south side picnic area between 9:00 and 9:30. Walk with a group or on your own with turn-by-turn instructions and a map. Group walks start very shortly after 10:00. The walk is free for noncredit participants and donations are appreciated to offset administrative, insurance, and Meetup fees. Cost is $4 for walkers recording the event. Please bring exact change and your small sticker address labels to speed up registration. The walk is sanctioned by and is eligible for AVA/IVV credit.
