DINNER
The Blue Bonnet opened it's doors in the 1930s and was one of the first restaurants in Denver to obtain a liquor license after prohibition and the Broadway streetcars ended at the restaurant's corner
Named after the Texas State flower, the Blue Bonnet is a Mexican Restaurant that offers an innovative seasonal menu utilizing a range of local ingredients, a gluten-free menu (one of the largest in the city), award-winning margarita list, extensive cocktail selection in addition to their famous traditional Mexican menu
MARDI GRAS PARTY
The name BurnDown originates from the building’s storied history, when a large fire swept through the onsite furniture shop and scorched hundreds of the structure’s original beams, which they've carefully preserved and reinforced, alongside the space’s distressed brick, adding a unique character to their otherwise modern aesthetic
We're catching the early Live Music set featuring Papamo & the Vipers who serve up a lively, boot tappin' mix of New Orleans grooves, Gulf Coast vibes, and tunes that make you move, from Dr. John and Fats Domino to Talking Heads and a dash of Zydeco -- Bon Ton Rouler!
The late set (8:30 to midnight) features The Saints, a seven-piece band with an authentic New Orleans' feel playing funk, R&B, soul, rock, original tunes, and covers -- There are four vocalists who all sing lead and tight 4-part harmonies with music by popular artists like Prince, Jon Cleary, The Neville Brothers, Tina Turner, and Aretha Franklin, as well as newer artists like Dua Lipa, Scary Pockets, Trombone Shorty, Thornetta Davis, and Susan Tedeschi
