The hike is up both 922-foot Twin Peaks and 928-foot Mt. Davidson, surrounded by residential neighborhood with 64-acre hilltop park summit in the middle of the city, 360° panoramic view of the city the Peninsula bay and the ocean. The concrete cross atop Mt. Davidson, erected in 1934, was a monument to the Armenian genocide in Turkey. Your hike will take you through the valley and woods, with dramatic rock (chert) formations, and Islais Creek, one of the few remaining free-flowing creeks in San Francisco.
