Vintage Evening Night Hike: Sunset and Richmond Districts

It's the almost the end of Neon Hiking season so let's be sure to do these two neighborhoods, the Inner Sunset and the Richmond Districts. We will meet outside on the sidewalk in front of Pasquales' Pizza at 700 Irving St. We will leave at 6:10 sharp. We will hit the vintage neon signs in the Inner Sunset and the Richmond Districts. After this hike you may never look at neon signs the same way again!

Please make sure you are comfortable walking at night before signing up. I am using a book written in 2011 so it is possible some signs may not be functioning, but we will see many that will be functioning. If it will bum you out to see a few non-functional neon signs along the way maybe this is not the walk for you. Otherwise, hope to see you there!

After the walk, we will have our post walk gathering at a commercial establishment in the Richmond.

Please note: Phone help is not available for latecomers. If you are late it is very hard to catch up with us. We walk at a medium pace. Escorts or sweeps are not provided, so slower walkers should be completely prepared to finish the hike on their own if they become separated from the group, and they may want to consider bringing a friend to walk with them. I reserve the right to make small changes to the route as needed.
