Urban Hike: Mission to China Basin
Details
Let's do an urban hike, from the Mission into China Basin. We will start with some histoy and gardens in the Mission, then over to Potereo Hill and then the China Basin area. I am still working on the exact route but we will include some history, stops at parks, community gardens, and southern waterfront views. There will be hills and stairs.
We meet at 1:30 at Cafe La Taza but leave at 1:40 (grace period). After the walk, we will have an after gathering in the China Basin or Dog Patch area, possibly outdoors if the weather is good. If so, we will stop at a store for provisions. Bring a cup just in case. Hope to see you there!
Please note: Phone help is not available for latecomers. If you are late it is very hard to catch up with us. We walk at a medium pace. Escorts or sweeps are not provided, so slower walkers should be completely prepared to finish the hike on their own if they become separated from the group, and they may want to consider bringing a friend to walk with them. I reserve the right to make small changes to the route as needed.
