The Kutsuplus pilot was the world’s first fully automated, real-time demand-responsive public transport service, developed between 2012 and 2015 by Helsinki Regional Transport
Authority (HSL) and Split Finland Ltd. Kari Rissanen received his M.Sc. in 1988 and Lic.Tech in 1991, both in Electrical Engineering in Tampere University of Technology, Finland, where he worked as research scientist before joining Nokia in 1989. Since 2011, he has headed the development and ramp-up of the novel Kutsuplus Service in Helsinki Regional Transport Authority (HSL), Finland.
Shotl is the urban ride-sharing App that conveys several passengers with similar itineraries in one single vehicle. The startup is currently running a pilot test in Barcelona.
