FAQs
‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾
Q: What is the format of the workout?
A: The workout varies but is always focused on building strength through elevation. It will typically either be hill repeats (running up the hill, recovering on the way down, and repeating) or running a short, hilly loop multiple times. The specific plan will be shared at the briefing.
Q: Is this session suitable for beginners?
A: Yes, runners of all levels are welcome. The 'repeats' format means everyone is in the same area, so you can go at your own pace without pressure. It's a great way to build strength, but as always, listen to your body and rest when you need to.
Q: Do we run together or at our own pace?
A: Everyone runs at their own pace. Similar to a track session, the nature of repeating a hill allows everyone to work out individually while still being part of the group. You can push yourself as much as you want.
Q: How long does the running session last?
A: The main running portion of the workout typically lasts for 30 to 40 minutes, not including the warm-up and cool-down.
Q: What are the safety considerations for running on a public road?
A: Your safety is your own responsibility. As we run on public roads that are open to traffic, you must remain alert at all times. This includes looking out for cars, staying on the correct side of the road to see oncoming traffic, and avoiding the inside of blind corners to ensure you are visible to drivers.
Q: Is there a place to leave bags?
A: This depends on the location. For some locations (like Lorong Sesuai), there is a common spot to leave bags, but it is always unattended. For other locations, there may be no place at all. Please assume there is no bag storage and only bring what you can run with.
Q: Are there toilets or water coolers nearby?
A: Usually, no. Please come prepared with all the water you will need for the session. Check the specific event description for any location-specific details.
Q: What happens if it rains?
A: We run on! Please be extra cautious as roads can become slippery when wet.
