Midweek Reset - Easy Hike Around Lone Mountain
Details
This hike is perfect for beginners and those who want to get out for some fresh air. We will take advantage of the cooler temps and longer daylight and remind ourselves why we love our desert!
Lone Mountain Loop: We will be hiking around the base of Lone Mountain. This hike is 2.4 miles, and although it is not very scenic, the wide trail and gradual elevation make this the perfect setting for a midweek reset. We will hike COUNTER CLOCKWISE this time. I will be going around 2x this week for a total of 4.8 miles. The 2nd lap is optional.
Terrain & Scenery: This is a typical desert trail with the usual dirt and rocks. The trail is wide and easy to navigate.
Trail Type: Loop
Parking: We will park on the dirt lot on the west side of the mountain (the 215 side). The cross streets are Alexander and Vegas Vista Trail.
Directions: If you put "Lone Mountain Trail" in your navi, you should find us. I will be standing next to my silver Honda Civic.
This is a group hike and I encourage everyone to take advantage of the time to socialize. I WILL HIKE AT THE PACE OF THE SLOWEST HIKER. Let's get out and reset!
*Guests must be 21. No fur babies.
