Good to Know

Even during summer, temperatures at Mt. Charleston are often 20–30Β°F cooler than Las Vegas, making this an excellent escape from the valley heat. Afternoon thunderstorms can develop quickly in summer, so an early morning start is recommended.

This is one of the best hikes near Las Vegas if you’re looking for a rewarding climb without committing to the full Charleston Peak trek.
