Wild Rose Trail Sunset Hike and Fireworks 🎇
Details
🎇 The city of North Salt Lake is having their annual 4th of July fireworks show on the night of this hike and this trail has an amazing view of the show! We will do our hike as usual, however once we reach the top we will hangout until the fireworks begin at 10:00 pm. After the fireworks show we will hike down. Keep in mind that parking might be tricky, you may need to find the nearest street parking and walk to the trailhead, because of this we will be starting the hike 30 minutes after the posted start time. We will socialize at the trailhead while waiting for everyone to arrive. 🎇
Join us for a relaxed and scenic sunset hike along the Wild Rose Trail in North Salt Lake. This is an easy, social hike with beautiful views overlooking the valley and the Great Salt Lake—perfect for unwinding after the day and connecting with others.
We’ll meet at the trailhead park, gathering at the pavilion (as long as it’s not already in use), then head out together for a gentle hike along the trail. The route is easy and approachable, making it a great option for all experience levels.
We’ll take our time as we hike, enjoying the scenery and good conversation along the way. As the sun begins to set, we’ll find a nice spot to pause, take in the views, and enjoy the changing colors over the lake and mountains.
To make the evening even more enjoyable, feel free to bring something to share—wine or another drink, along with cheese, crackers, meats, fruit, or other light snacks. We’ll set everything up on a bench and create a casual, shared picnic atmosphere while we enjoy the sunset together.
Distance: ~2 miles round trip
Difficulty: Easy
Pace: Social and relaxed
Please bring water, comfortable shoes, and a light jacket for after sunset. A headlamp or flashlight is recommended for the walk back.
This is a great opportunity to enjoy a beautiful evening outdoors, meet new people, and be part of a welcoming and easygoing group.
Looking forward to a great night on the trail!
